This project simulates waterfalls and plants on mountain cliffs, uses FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastics)、 GRC ( GlassFiber Reinforced Cement ) and Fabric Garden Green Wall System to give the interior a natural look, plants a variety of native plants and moss, and uses a fogging system to maintain air humidity and full-spectrum plant lights to provide lighting.

Method of establishment of vegetation

The green wall system includes full-spectrum plant lights, a mist system and a drip irrigation system to maintain the environmental needs of the plants, and has a time controller to automatically start and shut down. In the early stage of green wall planting, the leaves of some plants will be injured and must be removed manually. If the roots of the plants are injured and the plants die, they should be replaced immediately. After about 2 months, the green wall system will stabilize and only require maintenance every two months.

Vegetation

In terms of plant design, this green wall has more than 80 kinds of plants, 3,000 plants of different sizes, with a total area of ​​about 80 square meters, including different ferns, mosses and foliage plants in Taiwan. For example: Large-leaved senchovy (Curculigo capitulata), Taiwan Davallia (Davallia divaricata Blume), Taiwan St. John’s wort (Hypericum formosanum), These are Taiwan’s native plants, adding to the diversity of green wall plants.

Vegetation layer

The root balls of the plants will be placed one by one into the pockets of the PET hanging cloth, and a plant will be placed in each pocket. If the root ball of the plant is relatively large, you can use scissors to cut the opening of the large bag to facilitate planting.

Retention layer

The special medium used in green walls contains small brick particles, organic soil and Polygreen soil. Polygreen soil is recycled waste cloth and re-crushed into pellets. It has the characteristics of water retention and light weight. After being mixed into a medium, it can be kept Water is used by plants.

Filtration layer

Drip irrigation systems include filters and use a clean water source for drip irrigation.

Drainage layer

PET plant hanging cloth is a woven product. Water will soak into each layer of media from top to bottom. The bottom of green wall is a stainless steel water collection tank, where excess water will be drained away.

Separate layer

The stainless steel frame should be at least 3 centimeters away from the wall to keep a safe distance between the green wall hanging and the wall.

Protective layer

The PET planting hanging cloth is hung on one side of the stainless steel frame, and the other side will be covered with PE tarpaulin. The stainless steel frame is at least 3 cm away from the wall, so there is no need to worry about plant roots damaging the wall.

Root layer

Fabric garden green wall system, including stainless steel frame, PE tarpaulin, PET planting hanging cloth, green wall lightweight medium, regulated drip irrigation system, bottom water collection tank, automatic water supply time controller, water supply filter, full spectrum plant lamps, etc. The space inside the PET planting hanging cloth will be filled with a lightweight medium specially designed for green walls. The spaces are connected and plant roots can grow freely here.
